Biografi Band Kotak

profil

Berawal dari kontes Dream Band yang digelar tahun 2004 lalu, terbentuklah sebuah band bernama Kotak yang terdiri dari para personil yang telah diseleksi sebelumnya yaitu Cella (gitar), Ices (bass), Pare (vocal) dan Posan (drum).

Kotak adalah satu-satunya band yang mengusung jenis musik modern rock dan bernuansa sedikit ‘dark’. Dengan menampilkan sound distorsi yang gahar ala band-band nu metal atau modern rock namun juga dengan teknik solo gitar yang keren.

Bisa dibilang, tanpa adanya Dreamband 2004 enggak bakalan ada band yang bernama Kotak. Kotak sebagai juara mendapatkan kesempatan dibuatkan album solo berjudul sama. Dengan formasi dua cowok, dua cewek memang Kotak cukup memikat dengan gaya gothicnya. Simak saja salah satu komentar dari juri Dreamband 2004.

KoTaK terbentuk tgl.27 September 2004 dalam acara The Dream Band

KoTaK dipertemukan oleh Yang Diatas sejak audisi The Dream Band di Jakarta

Produser (Dody-Kahitna) yg ‘dah mengaudisi drummer, guitaris, bassis, vokalis dari kota Jakarta, dari peserta 400 org vocalis menjadi 2 org, 170 bassis menjadi 2 org, ratusan guitaris menjadi 3 org, dan ratusan drummer jg menjadi 2 org

And dari 9 org yg lolos audisi, dibentuk 2 band yaitu KoTak yg personilnya 4 org, dan LiMa yg personilnya 5 org
